Following their set at the first annual Singer/Songwriter Festival at the Texas Musicians Museum, Daniel Brown and Katherine Rublein received the venue’s 2017 Rising Star Award. Performances honored Steven Fromholz, Texas native, musician, and 2007 Poet Laureate whose individual contributions to the Texas singer-songwriter scene are considered invaluable. Brown and Rublein are long-time supporters of the museum’s efforts to encourage local musicians, and even participated as judges in a showcase earlier this year.
